4th of July

Good morning! And Happy 4th of July!
Many many months - and holidays - have passed since my last
blog share! But....my sewing machine and embroidery machine have been
whirring away.
Plus -- back into my gardening! The yard is beginning to look
pretty again. Hubby and I have planted lots of flowers here and there.
So  --  want to share what has kept me busy!

Everything and anything patriotic just feels me with pride and love
for our wonderful country!  Hubby helped me build this awesome
wooden flag - copied from another blogger.

The stars did not come out that nicely for us -- Walmart had a bag of just the right size
stick-on stars so tried them and looks very nice!

And some fun patriotic pillows for the porch love seat!  The "W" is a machine embroidery
applique from one of my favorite digitizers

crafting

There is just never enough time to do all of the fun crafting and sewing projects on my list of "want to do"!!   A couple of weeks ago Katie and I wrapped plain cuff bracelets with houndstooth ribbon (Roll Tide, of course) but didn't get to add any embellishments. So, this afternoon I really wanted a project that
could be done while watching some football. This evening finished 2.

purse sewing

Back in August JoAnne's had some special 9-11 remembrance fabric that I really liked.

At the time, sure wasn't sure what I would use it for but decided a handbag would be nice.

In September while browsing fabrics, I ran across a collection from Alexander Henry  - The Ghastlies. Totally fell in love with all of the pieces! Another handbag - Amy Butler "Frenchy", and some little accessory bags - an in the hoop zippy bag and another Amy Butler design.
